Picture this: A house is ablaze, and seven members of the family (save one brave dog and four helpless kittens) are outside screaming for firefighters to save the little critters. What should they find but valiant Leo the Jack Russell mix watching over the kittens in spite of the smoke and heat that surrounded him. Bad news for the family — they've lost everything and they had no insurance — but Leo and the kittens are alive. Tink the kitty isn't sure what to think of this remote control mouse. He's intrigued (the wide saucer eyes give him away) but he also seems a little alarmed (note the Shaolin monk sideways attack moves). Between the saloon-y piano music and Tink's ridiculous cuteness, this video is aces with me. (I also love the less spazzy cat on the stairs trying to figure out what all the fuss is about.)

Do not watch this video unless you want a little tear to form in one of your eyes. Icy the cat died and left behind a teeny little kitten, the sole surviving kitten from her last litter. (Tears forming yet?) Well, the family was determined to raise her, and what do you know! The family pup Shelby can't keep his paws off her —he loves her so much. There is too much cute in this video: the kitty nursing from her bottle while her little ears wiggle; kitty snuggling with Shelby in the crook of his neck; and Shelby trying to bring her back into the fold with his giant paw. Sigh. I'm dying over here.

It's a tv ad for the Kodak Instamatic movie camera and the drugged-sounding voice over says movie making with it is so easy that "Even a busy mother can do it." What's that supposed to mean? In any case, the cute kittens make up for it.
