It's lunchtime as I write this, and this utterly ridiculous video is making me hungry! I guess kitty is taking a mid-meal, mid-smoke, mid-beer break to clean himself. Just because he can.

North does this to me all the time: I get set to eat my snack, and he'll sit at my feet as if I need to share my yums, too. Apparently,
Pumpkin is the same way with Morenasobuena's water. Pumpkin just got her own fresh bowl of water, but insists on drinking Mama's as well.

Who videotaped this — the cat? I guess he wanted evidence that he, in fact, can get away with annoying the bejeezus out of his sleeping human companion. (I especially love when he sits on the dude's back and starts messing with his neck.) I'll say it again — I love
cat men.

Dogs are so patient. Gilberto here is friends with little Sosa and allows her to swat his head for fun. It kinda reminds me of that awesome video of the little
kitten with the Husky.

My money's on basket. But wait, kitten's got a secret weapon . .

Sorry, Fido, It's Just a Guy Thing
Is this just a ploy by single straight dudes to get girlfriends, or are there really cute guys like Adam Fulrath, over there with Parappa, who claims his cat is his "primary relationship"? According to this
New York Times article, men (straight men, even!) are coming out of the cat closet and admitting that, yes, real men do love cats. Says one male cat-lover, dogs are for dudes who need wingmen.

Who better to teach overseas soldiers about operations security than Squeakers the mouse and his arch-nemesis, the Cat Hacker? This military PSA's got it all: spies, intrigue, high-tech surveillance equipment, an adorable cast, impressive set design. I can't say I'm surprised that the most dangerous spies are of the feline persuasion.

Did I get your attention?! Good. I am breaking my rule of "videos longer than 3 minutes only on the weekend."

Oh, the cute face! This silly cat with a mustache is having a love affair with the laser pointer. Let's hear the sweet nothings it whispers in a stolen moment .

I, too had an affinity for playing in boxes when I was a kid. I built castles out of them, and sometimes even fell asleep while playing. So I totally get why
Cairo likes to nap in this Pepsi box – sometimes it's nice to snuggle up in your own little cave.
