Ruth Lorenzo left The X Factor on Saturday, receiving the lowest number of votes from the public. The judges now have no say in who stays and who goes.
The big excitement of the evening was, of course, Britney Spears' performance of "Womanizer".

Prepare to get excited people: Britney Spears is on her way to the UK! The princess of pop flew from LAX Airport yesterday to start her mini tour of Europe, going from
Germany to France, accompanied by dad Jamie and his protective hands. Come Saturday, Britney will be on our shores,
performing on The X Factor and possibly
at G-A-Y too, ahead of
Circus' release on Monday.

Rachel Hylton left The X Factor on Saturday, because only her own mentor Dannii voted to keep her over JLS.
Simon saved the boy band because Rachel had been in the bottom two three times, but it certainly looked like it was a close call between the two acts. As I said during
our live chat on the evening, I hope we'll see Rachel in the future.

It finally happened: Daniel Evans was voted off The X Factor
on Saturday night.
Following Laura White's
controversial exit the week before, nothing would have surprised me this weekend. The final seven contestants, including
poorly Diana, performed Best of British songs.

Sugababes Heidi, Keisha and Amelle were given the honour of turning on Oxford Street's Christmas lights in London yesterday
in front of 50,000 fans. They were joined on stage by The X Factor finalists Daniel Evans, Rachel Hylton, Ruth Lorenzo and Alexandra Burke, who
performed "Hero". Talk turned to Laura White's
controversial exit from the show, with Keisha
saying "I almost smashed my TV" and Heidi
adding "Laura should not have been kicked out".

Well, if
Austin's departure in week four was a shock, then what about Laura White's departure from
The X Factor on Saturday night? Many of us were surprised about the result in our
live blog.
She was one of the favourites to win, but Laura was in the bottom two with Ruth, and her own mentor Cheryl Cole was the only judge to save her.

You probably know by now that I simply can't get enough of this season's big,
bird's nest hair styles. From Guido's
matte creations at Marc Jacobs to
Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding's bouffant do, it's all about messy, voluminous styles.
X-Factors' wannabe star Diana Vickers was sporting an amazing look on this weekend's programme.
