The CW's new Sunday night programming block starts in early October, and of the four new shows, I'm most curious to check out
Valentine, which is about a family of Greek gods who now live among us in a world where Mount Olympus is just off the freeway from LA's Laurel Canyon.
My reasons for being excited for the show are twofold: I've seen the whole "historical figures from such-and-such a time try to navigate modern society" concept work before (anyone else ever watch
Clone High?), and I'm glad to see another alum of
The OC — Autumn Reeser, in this case — get a job. There's also the whole thing of having Aphrodite, Eros, and Hercules shacking up together, which has the potential to be amusing, especially while they're living out their mission of helping everyday folks find love.

Valentine's Day is long gone, I know, but this is too unworldly to keep to myself. What lunatic actually thinks that an alien pointing a gun at his love, while robotically chanting "you must be mine" and "obey me," would make any gal swoon? He's gotta be joking, but even so, this is more nightmarish than funny.

First there was Heart-kun,
a Chihuahua puppy born with a heart shaped marker on his coat and then there was Valentine,
a piglet with unique heart markings that was born in the UK. Which one is cuter? You decide?

It looks like the adorable
Chihuahua puppy born with a heart shaped marker on his coat has some new competition. Less than two weeks ago a
Gloucester Old Spot piglet with unique heart markings was born on a farm in the UK. What's his name?

Love is patient; love is kind; but love isn't wussy! Love is a long, hard, brutal fight that ends in raw blood and sweat. El Valentino is bringing lucha love to your mailbox on February 14th, so pull out your championship belt and get ready for a passionate brawl.

"There is only one happiness in life,
to love and be loved." Don't hand your valentine a card with someone else's nauseating mantra slapped across it: carve your own! The
Suck UK Carve Your Own Postcard ($14) is your standard 4" by 6" wooden postcard.

These
letterpress wooden cards from Night Owl Paper Goods come in single cards ($6) or packages of 6 ($24), but no matter what number you buy them in, you're getting a serious amount of cuteness for your cash. Constructed from eco-friendly, sustainably harvested yellow birch, these cards can be written on with a pen, pencil, or marker, and come with cheery red envelopes. This is a
lovely way to send Valentine greetings.

What's the word? Love. Love.
