The
National Television Awards may have had some
stunning dresses and make-up looks, and I may have gotten to talk to some great celebrities, but really the whole event was about the gongs that were handed out during the ceremony. Four US faces came over to help give them out — Zachary Quinto, Nicollette Sheridan, Michael Urie and Paris Hilton — but the winners were all Brits, as voted for by the public.
In the press room following each acceptance speech we were visited by the winners.
Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly channeled next season's penchant for
neon pastels on the red carpet. She wore a low neck melon-coloured Temperley London dress with a delicate gold belt to accentuate her waistline. I love the way that this dress emphasises her womanly figure.

Tess Daly and Vernon Kay are sharing
Cosmopolitan's November cover for the magazine's first ever "Men versus Women" issue, which takes a light-hearted look at the battle of the sexes. The presenting couple are used to being rivals on TV, with Tess hosting BBC's
Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday nights while Vernon's at the helm of All Star Family Fortunes on the same evening over on ITV. In this joint interview, they battle it out on all aspects of males and females, from weight and surgery to who really is the superior sex.

The
2008 Pride Of Britain awards took place last night, with a whole host of celebrities showing up to hear the amazing and touching stories of the nominees and winners. We'll be able to share in the awe-inspiring tales of these Brits when the show airs on television tonight, at 8pm on ITV1. Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton giggled under their Union Jack-emblazoned umbrella as they arrived to present an award, and Cat Deeley and Rachel Stevens were among the other guests using the brollies on the red carpet.

Celebrities gathered at the vaudeville themed End of Summer Ball
for the Prince's Trust in London's Berkeley Square last night. Amy Winehouse and her goddaughter Dionne provided the entertainment for guests like Kelli Young, Jessica Taylor, Vernon Kay and
Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly, who is an ambassador for the charity. Sugababe Heidi Range gave
an emaciated-looking Amy a big hug, while Dita von Teese has said
she wants to give Amy a makeover.

We've taken a look at the silver screen awards ceremony from last night, but there were also some seemingly more raucous small screen awards happening
at the Dorchester Hotel. The champagne was flowing at the TV Quick & TV Choice Awards last night — the ladies got their best frocks on (I love Sammy Winward's navy number) and and the nominees were in high spirits — John Barrowman snogged This Morning TV pundit Sharon Marshall in celebration following Doctor Who's win for Best Loved TV Show!
Loose Women won Best Daytime Show in the reader-voted ceremony, The Apprentice and Strictly Come Dancing won awards, and Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway took Best Entertainment Show.

After the glamorous arrivals it was time to get down to the nitty gritty of the
GQ Men Of The Year Awards and give out the gongs. There were some fab photo opportunities as the stars collided – Dave Grohl and Bobby Gillespie looked like twins with their long hair, Josh Brolin got a kiss on the cheek from Thandie Newton, and a bewildered-looking Boris Johnson received his award from Trinny and Susannah. My favourite, James Corden, received his breakthrough award from
Gavin and Stacey co-writer Ruth Jones, and Alfie Allen and Jaime Winstone
had their engagement revealed by Alfie's sister Lily who introduced Jamie as "my future sister-in-law".

The
GQ Men Of The Year awards ceremony took place in London last night, hosted by Lily Allen in front of a room full of famous faces. Lily wore a big attention-grabbing dress as hostess (which apparently
proved slightly difficult to walk in), and spilled
a terrifying story about her friend who was kidnapped and locked in a car boot for seven days. She
said: "I just want to thank the Met Police.

Lewis Hamilton
won the British Grand Prix at the weekend, racing through some terrible weather to victory! A few celebs showed up for the event during this incredibly sport-filled weekend, including Rupert Grint who took a day off from all things Harry Potter to take in some world-class racing. A pair of lovely couples also attended to see Lewis take the trophy – Tess Daly and Vernon Kay who
hosted a recent F1 party, and Gordon and Tana Ramsay, who enjoyed a family day out at the track.

Jay-Z once claimed to like 'Girls all over the world' and it seems Tess Daly might fit in to that. The British presenter had a busy time last night attending both the
F1 party and
Jay-Z's get together at 17 Berkeley Street. She arrived in a multi coloured dress with her husband Vernon Kay. Her dress really reminds
Pop UK and me of a Zap ice lolly!
