I think the idea of Laurie Wisbrun's new
Birdies on a Chair fabric ($8) is cute as well as the design. But, I wish the white chairs would pop more against the blue background, and I think the palette could be reworked a bit. I guess I'd say I'm undecided.

While Beehive Kitchenware Company does make measuring cups and lemon juicers, their range of fanciful metal accents ensures that you can use them in any room of your home. I have my eyes on
Beehive's Paisley Hooks ($27) myself, though there are plenty of other pieces that have enchanted me. The company, which is located in Massachusetts, is owned and operated by Jim Dowd and Sandra Bonazoli.

Although these African natives aren't the prettiest of the bird family, they are pretty amazing nonetheless! How much do you know about the ostrich? Will you take my quiz or just bury your head in the sand?

You know that feeling of anticipation you get during a full moon that makes you want to go out and party? Well, maybe that's just me, but studies show that the "Full Moon Effect" touches other species, too. Not only are those werewolves on the hunt during full moons,
but so are sharks, seals, and sea birds.

He can hold a lot of food in that beak!

This strange pair seem to get along pretty well. The bird (who appears to have a cat tail fetish) cleans his furry friend as best he can, and the cat just sits around looking bored. Don't get too complacent, Tweets.

It's a three-letter bird . . .

Ever since I spotted the
Ingo Maurer Birds Birds Birds Chandelier ($5,928) in Christiana Coop of Ferm Living's dining room (shown here), I've been preying for one of my own. Made of aluminum wires that can be turned, bent, or stretched, and are attached to goose-feather wings, the chandelier resembles a flock of birds fleeing the coop, taking on a life of its own and allowing for a bit of personalization. I'm a huge fan of the German artist and lighting designer; I love the eccentricity that he brings to his pieces.
