Cats have moved way beyond the feeding bowl! If you thought the bottle-fed kitten was advanced, wait until you meet Tessa. She may walk on all fours, but she's been trained to sit up and eat properly come chow time. That is, Tessa eats her gourmet cat food with a fork, and even chopsticks (!) Miss Manners even has the courtesy to wash her paws before dinner. Now if only we can get men to do the same...

WOW... empty nest syndrome to the max. When I left for college my parents got a puppy, if she starts sitting at the table with them during meals I will have to intervene.

yikes! I am all for talented cats, but forcing a cat to eat with a fork is a bit over the top in terms of unnatural behavior. Do you see how much work the poor thing has to put in just to eat? And you know all the other cats in the neighborhood make fun of her because she's being walked on a leash. How undignified.
