The advertisements of the '50s and '60s are deemed insultingly sexist by today's standards. These ads sold products by reinforcing the inferiority of women and tapping into their deepest insecurities. What product did the distraught housewife below supposedly need to reopen the door to her hubby's heart? Take a guess. (Hint: I use this word at least thirty five times in a single day. Maybe more.)
